Before we start wide-eyed and fresh first thing Monday morning, we want to give thanks to last week's #stylinanddialin parade of mentions.
We were thrilled to team up with GEG Imagepath on their Indiegogo campaign, Diagnostic Telemedicine for Afghanistan.
The idea for GEG ImagePath is simple: Currently, Afghans spend $285m USD on medical care outside of Afghanistan in a bid to escape the domestic healthcare system. It will take another decade at least to begin to see a critical mass of well-trained Afghan physicians and specialists that can provide the level of care necessary to keep up with the burgeoning demand.
In the mean time, those that can't afford to fly to India or Dubai receive subpar care, beginning from the diagnosis forwards.
Our friends and colleagues at Pulsoviral who introduced us to this campaign, wrote an awesome feature about us getting involved, and what pursecase is contributing to help encourage your excitement for the project! Find out here how you can support this world-changing/game-changing healthcare effort, by just buying a pursecase!
Feel free to contact me at email@example.com if you have any questions or comments regarding the campaign. We're very committed to helping them see everything through!
In other fun, flirty, and "frolicking in romper" news, we were featured this week on She Said He Said: Fashion Blog with the stunning Chelsea Davis! We were so lucky (pun intended...wait for it) to meet Chelsea at Lucky Magazine's FABB conference in early March.
Thank you so much making us part of your awesome closet and we hope to keep seeing #stylinanddialin next to your #ootd!
Last but most certainly not least, Tiffani Mugurussa of Time 4 Kindergarten, gave us straight-A's when she discovered her first pursecase. There's nothing elementary about the core message of her review, "Every girl needs one or more." If you're a busy teacher, worker-bee, or mom, be sure to check out and subscribe to Time 4 Kindergarten to win your own pursecase and keep up with other fantastic suggestions for your lifestyle via Tiffani!
Now: Have an amazing week, don't let Monday get too manic, and by all means keep us posted of your #stylinanddialin travels so we can feature you in coming weeks.
This past week we felt like we struck gold at the SLS Hotel, Beverly Hills. In a field where everything was coming up roses, we were all systems go, on a streak, on a roll, holding nothing but aces and pursecases.
Let's be honest, there would really be no other appropriate way to feel when in attendance at the Luckyfabb: Fashion & Beauty Bloggers Conference...
This gathering is no haphazard pairing of "ladies who lunch", but an opportunity, brought by Lucky Magazine, to connect with the most powerful influencers in fashion and beauty.
Supermodel, fashion editor, and all around supernova to be reckoned with, Coco Rocha, said on Day 1, "Know that you are very powerful behind that keyboard, and you have a chance to change something."
You don't have to take her word for it - but we're certainly going to.
It's empowering to accept that there is this somewhat untapped powerhouse of young editorially tech savvy women out there in droves. We're excited to continue to connect and reconnect with so many of the attendees that we were able to spend time with this past week.
Delightful fashion blogger, role-model, and social influencer, Chelsea Davis of She Said He Said, was so adorable, suited in her all-white spring smock that we couldn't resist putting a brand new iPhone 5S "Snow White" pursecase on her arm.
To all our blogger babes out there: We hold you up on a pedestal for your persistent sense of style, way with words, and want to remind you of Diana Vreeland's famous quote, "The only real elegance is in the mind; if you've got that, the rest really comes from it." Bam. Keep-on-powering-on. And per always, keep on #stylinanddialin!
